About Us

The Singapore Meridian Strategic Research Centre (SMRC) was established in 2025 and is headquartered in Singapore. It is an independent, non-profit policy research and strategic advisory institution. Based in Southeast Asia, SMRC conducts interdisciplinary research on global strategic issues, with a focus on international security, economic development, technological transformation, and human rights.

The Centre was founded in response to the accelerating evolution of the global landscape: intensified major power competition, the reshaping of regional order, and the intertwining of technology and human rights issues. Through independent research and policy dialogue, SMRC aims to provide actionable strategic insights to stakeholders worldwide.
